Tuareg daggers, often referred to as "kard," are traditional weapons and tools used by the Tuareg people of the Sahara Desert. These daggers are not only functional but also carry significant cultural and artistic value. They are traditionally worn by men and are an important part of Tuareg identity.

Tuareg daggers are highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts of ethnographic art.

Overall, Tuareg daggers embody the rich history and cultural significance of the Tuareg people, blending functionality with artistry.

Tuareg is an Arabic term meaning abandoned by God. They call themselves Imohag, translated as free men. No one knows the true origin of the Tuareg, where they came from or when they arrived in the Sahara.

The most striking attribute of the Tuareg is the indigo veil, worn by the men but not the women, giving rise to the popular name the Blue Men of the Sahara, or Men of the Veil.
