The spoons are not just functional; they often carry cultural significance and artistic value, reflecting the Tuareg’s rich heritage. This spoon features geometric patterns or symbols that represent their nomadic lifestyle and connection to the desert.
Tourag spoons can be used for daily meals or ceremonial occasions, showcasing the craftsmanship and cultural identity of the Tuareg people.
This beautiful deep bowled spoon is not only a functional accessory but also used in ritual ceremonies.
Tuareg is an Arabic term meaning abandoned by God. They call themselves Imohag, translated as free men. No one knows the true origin of the Tuareg, where they came from or when they arrived in the Sahara.
The most striking attribute of the Tuareg is the indigo veil, worn by the men but not the women, giving rise to the popular name the Blue Men of the Sahara, or Men of the Veil.
